A Smile
I stopped and smiled.
A faint glimmer,
a scene from the past.
Vibrant yesterdays,
overshadowing vague tomorrows.
A song, a place, a phrase.
Pleasant memories awaken;
depths of time resurface.
I pause...
brush a tear,
and smile.
